Christmas Gifts

Bubby gave Joseph the gift of saying Dada to him Friday and me the gift of saying Mama Saturday : ) He's been saying dada, mama, nana, and such but hasn't until then defined them. I think he's starting to define nana now. Nana is num nums : ) He's growing too fast : (

The picture below is the seven babies born on my mom's side of the family this year and their moms and great grandma : )

Waving

Bubby waved for the first time today : ) He's also been doing the horse stance with no hands for couple days now. It lasts a few seconds. I think he'll start walking soon. ughhhhhh!!!!!

10 on Tues.

1. Oops. I'm still new to 10 on Tues. I forgot about it until now.

2. The pain in my leg is less than before. I'm still believing for a complete healing.

3. I've eaten about half the cookies I brought home from Cookie Day with the girls. They are now in the bottom of my freezer. I hope to forget about them until Game Night when I can share them with everyone else.

4. We have bees under our shed. What to do. What to do. I need to look again to make sure they are still there. If so, then I might call a bee keeper and see if they want them.

5. I thought that if I let Bubby sleep a little longer during a nap just the other naps would be messed up. I was WAY wrong. His night time sleep gets messed up. So now he is up within 1 1/2 hours, closer to 1 1/4 hours. This should help :)

6. Looking forward to seeing the newest baby in my family tomorrow :)

7. I really need to start working out again, but first organizing all the school stuff from last year. Yes, I still have not completed that project. But I am putting dents in it. It's just going slowly.

8. My husband is not much on playing games or visiting people which I thought was a complete bummer. But I've found a bright side :) He stays home with Bubby and I get to go play games or hang out with family. We're both happy, and Bubby doesn't lose sleep :)

9. I'm playing the Facebook games less :) quite a bit less actually. YEAH!!!

10. We bought a chest freezer Sunday. I love it!

Believing for a Healing

I am believing for a healing specifically for the pinched nerve in my back that runs down my left leg. At my mom's church today I went up front for 'prayer'. It was weird. When the guy came to me, I breathed in and was filled with something. I fell backward. Someone caught me of course : ) That's only the second time that's happened to me. I'm almost positive the guy didn't even touch me. I still feel the pain in my leg, but that won't stop me from believing. I remember one thing the guy said today. "God is not the god of war but of victory." It's true. God doesn't have to fight. He's already won.

MRI

I went to get my MRI today. It wasn't too bad. But the news was definitely not desired. My doctor called the same day. That's NEVER a good sign. He told me that the next step is spinal surgery. I'll be calling him tomorrow to find out what surgeon to contact. Keep me in prayer. Thanks : )

Joy

It is such a blessing to watch Bubby explore his surroundings. He loves the magnets on the fridge, the boxes before they are tossed in recycling, music and lights, and much more. He touches, looks intently at, and tastes the various objects he comes across. He's now starting to get a little more daring by going around the wall of toys and boxes I set up. He's a fast one : )

10 on Tues

1. Joseph watched Bubby Sunday afternoon and evening so I could visit my family :)

2. I'm waiting to hear from the doctor's office to find out if my insurance will pay for an MRI. I've been having pain in my left leg pretty continuously for about two months now. It's getting worse.

3. A friend and her two boys came over for a visit today. I made waffles for us all by myself : ) It was a really nice visit.

4. Joseph decided to dj at a dance New Years Eve :( I did say it was ok, but part of me was hoping we'd be together. I like kissing him when the new year comes in. Well, at least I'll be having Game Night that night, so I won't be alone.

5. Bubby has started sticking out his tongue and "spitting". I think he wants to be able to click his tongue, but that's the closest he can get right now. He loves it though : )

6. My dad just called yesterday. He'll be coming out for a visit in January : ) I'm so excited!

7. I got hooked on Facebook games! Ugh!!! I was playing five of them but dropped it down to two games. And I play them far less often.

8. I still haven't put all my stuff away that I brought from my classroom. It's been about 8 months now. Ugh! Something else always seems to come up.

9. My cousin delivered his new son a couple days ago while his wife was sitting in the front seat of their car in their driveway. Way to go, Dusty!

10. Some of the girls will be getting together Saturday to bake cookies :)

Borrowing an Idea

1. Ok. After many months of reading Carrie's Ten on Tuesday blogs, I am going to start my own. She got the idea from another friend of ours. It is such a great idea. I hope they don't mind me using it : )

2. Bubby and I were blessed to have dinner with Scott, Regan, Landon, and Gary last night. It was a really nice time other than Bubby choking. Bubby eats like his mom. Sometimes we forget to chew. He has an even harder times since he has no teeth. He sucks in his food and swallows. Too much, too fast. Maybe I'll make him wait a little longer in between spoonfuls or biscuit bites.

3. Bubby is stuffed up. I was instructed to put a phone book under his crib matress, put a couple drops of saline in his nose and suck it out after 10 sec., and run the hot water in the shower with the door closed and us just sitting in the bathroom for 15 sec. FYI: The hot water doesn't last that long. At least his moco is clear.

4. Mom and Bob are coming over tomorrow to help out a bit and allow me to go to the dentist : )

5. Bubby has been sleeping for 12 hours : ) The past few nights he has woken up every couple hours due to his stuffiness. But he puts himself back to sleep within a couple minutes. 7pm - 7am

6. We had a great Game Night last Thursday. It was super nice to see everyone. We even got to see some of the family that recently moved back here from Minnesota : ) They were missed.

7. I've been making Bubby's baby food for the past month or more. He loves sweet potatos, yams, acorn squash, and butternut squash as veggies. He wasn't too fond of the carrots; however, he loved them from the jars : ( I still haven't figured out how to make beans and peas. His favorite food is bananas. He also loves pears and avacodos. He does enjoy eating his food frozen. Maybe it helps numb his gums. I'm thinking about making some popsicles of baby food. hmmm.....

8. I am so annoyed with Hollywood shoving gayness down our throuts. I just watched an episode of Trauma today. One of the characters was hateful toward gays. He then found out that his partner was gay. The partner gave some speech and now the other guy is 100% fine with gayness. I disagree with the hateful attitude toward individuals, but that doesn't mean we should say that what individuals do is ok. Sin is sin and acting on gay urges is sin.

9. I just found out Bob, my mom's husband, needs a defibrillator. So if his heart stops, the defibrillator will jump into action and start it up again.

10. We had to replace the glider on our bed again. (bed frame leg) This is the second time it broke. Both of those were plastic. My husband is buying a steel one. But right now, he has a jack holding up the bed with books ready just in case the jack goes kaplunk.
