Third Trimester

I love the Third Trimester!!! Everyone has told me the second trimester is the best, but I HAVE to disagree. In the first trimester, I was exhausted all the time, and it took forever. In the second trimester, I caught everyone's sickness. I had painful leg swelling issues, blood pressure problems, and possible glucose issues. So the second trimester was by far my worst trimester even though it seemed to go by faster than the first. The third trimester started and other than stretchmarks and going to bed around 8:30 pm, I'm amazing!!!! I love this. I look pregnant. I feel the baby kicking throughout the day. I have a boost of energy when I get home from work to organize my house. I have even gotten a lot organized at school for when my long term sub takes over. And my husband felt the baby kick. Life is good : ) I have about 10 weeks left until the debut of Baby Ivy. I am looking forward to that time in my life, but I'm doing all that I can to enjoy the last couple months with my husband and no children to look after. I've learned that in life. Enjoy the time at hand while looking forward to what is to come : )

Thankful

My step father, Bob, is home from the hospital : ) He was released yesterday. His body is healing much faster than expected. Thank you for your prayers.

Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

We lift up Bob right now. We ask for your peace to encompass him during his surgery and recovery period. We ask you to work through the surgeon’s hands and those assisting. Direct them to know what to do and at what times to do it. Lord, we are believing for a full recovery. We love him very much and desire for him to be around for many many years to come. We know that you are ultimately in control. So we give him to you without any strings attached. You’re the best surgeon there is. No matter what the outcome, we will hold steadfast to our faith in you. But know that we are praying for him to be up and running within six weeks. Our prayers will not stop. He is a mighty man of God and his faith is strong. You said in Matthew 18:20, “Where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” We may not all be in close proximity, but we are all gathered together in your name.

Thank you, Lord.In Jesus name, Amen.

Picture Tag

I was tagged by my friend, Carrie, so I have to play- here's the game: post the seventh picture in your seventh folder and tell about it. Don't cheat, just post what is there - then tag 7 other people (or as many as you want)!

Last year Joseph and I went hiking with some friends and their children. Athena was having some fun here : ) I did learn while on this hike, "don't take a regular stroller hiking no matter how "easy" the trail." It was a good time.

Please Pray

My step father is in the hospital awaiting a quadruple bypass surgery. It's scheduled for Monday at noon. He is a strong Christian and has high spirits. We are praying the surgery goes well. He'll have a 5-6 week recovery period. This will be difficult for him. He's not use to sitting for a long period of time. He has to be doing something productive. Bob is a very giving person. I am more concerned about his recovery time. He needs to say, "No." So he can later say, "Yes," when he sees a need. Please pray.

Finally!

My husband finally felt the baby kick without question. We were lying in bed this morning when I made him put his hand on my belly. When the baby finally did kick, Joseph popped up with amazement in his voice and eyes. That was great : )

Woke Up Screaming

I've been getting cramps on a pretty regular basis for about a month now, but I flex my feet and they go away until last night. I tried flexing my left foot but to no avail. So I started screaming trying while trying to massage it out. When I was younger, my mom would come rushing in and massage my cramp out. That only happened a couple times, but obviously it did not happen this time : ) My husband started stirring after I started crying. I asked him if he could massage it. He definitely has no experience in massaging a cramp out of someone's leg, so I attempted to massage it out again. It took awhile. Then the cramp moved to the muscle by my shin. That finally went away and jumped legs and attacked my right calf. I was able to flex to get that one out, then it moved to my right buttocks. Finally I was able to fall asleep only to wake up, at a decent hour, with the cramp now in my left buttocks. At least it didn't attack my feet! Those ones hurt worst of all.

Rib Pain

So my ribs were hurting in the beginning of my pregnancy. Then I had a couple months off. Now they hurt even worse! I was thinking the baby was pushing on my ribs which was really painful, so I would push back on them. That helped a bit but the next day I ended up with a bruise on my ribs. Then I started having sharp pain. That only lasted one day, thankfully. I talked to my doctor today. It turns out at the beginning of the pregnancy the belly gets bloated which can cause pain in the ribs. Now the baby is getting so big, the intestines are being pushed up under the ribs. He also told me that soon the baby will be kicking my liver and gallbladder which reside on my right side. Nothing's on my left side, so that sides safe. However, feeling the baby kick outweighs any pain : ) I love my baby so much.
