Cute Pix

I put Bubby's little outfit on him just before his nap, so we could make a quick diaper change and go to dinner. Well, he had other ideas. He chose to pee all over his new outfit during the diaper change. Joseph was kind enough to take a few pix with him in his outfit before we left : )

Little Toe

Carrie, beware of picture!

So within the past week I read about a friend's broken toe. She wanted to post a picture but chose not to due to the fact that she believes feet are ugly. I do not have that same opinion. And I really wanted to see the pic : ( Well I guess I wanted to see it so badly that I tried to reenact the drama of the broken toe but didn't go as far as to break my toe.

Yeah : )

Bubby finally slept through the night again. The past week he's been waking up at various times throughout the night and having a difficult time falling asleep at 7pm. Last night was amazing : ) He slept from 7pm-7:20am. What a blessing! Oh, one other thing... Yesterday he wouldn't stop pulling himself up to a stand. It's too soon. He's not quite 7 mo yet. He is such a happy baby. I couldn't ask for better. Blessings to all, and Happy Thanksgiving : )

What's going on?

Bubby slept from 12-1:30 this afternoon but that's it. I don't know what's wrong. He usually sleeps for an hour at 9am, 12pm, and 3pm. He's even crying tonight as he lays in bed. He's usually out when his head hits the mattress at 7pm. He pood twice today which is way less than normal. We played most of the day, so he's been busy. He's not coughing, sneezing, or tugging at anything more than normal. He has wanted num nums a lot more through out the day. Is it another growth spurt?! Can't be, right? Wait.... I think he's asleep. Knock on wood.

Who's Bubby Look Like?

I think Bubby looks more like Joseph but has a personality more like me. Maybe I'm wrong. Joseph is smilin' away as a little baby. I don't care who Bubby looks like or acts like. He's mine, and I'm keeping him : )

Stop or at least slow down

I am loving this stage in my baby's developement, but it's changing so quickly. How do I make him stay there for a little while at least? Still no pic of him crawling. AHHHH!!! How could I keep forgetting that?! He started out bringing both his legs forward at one time; then intermittently moving one leg forward. Now he goes from here to there in the blink of an eye. He loves to play : ) But mommy needs to be right there with him most of the time. He's an angel. I couldn't ask for a better bubby. I love him so much. It's weird, but I think I love him more and more every day. And I just don't know how that's possible.

Little things

Bubby is crawling/scooting a bit : ) He's enjoying playing on the ground and the toys around him. He's sleeping until 6am on a more frequent basis : ) He's doing better on taking his naps without crying first : ) He woke up once talking to himself instead of crying. I look forward to it happening more often.

Still no video of crawling. I need to get my butt in gear and get one : )

Stand and Fight

The first part of this year seemed to be plagued with sickness. My family and friends were caught on every side with one illness or another, some fighting for their lives. The plague finally seemed to subside just to be followed by my fight into motherhood. Through all the trials, I still knew I was blessed. Each day has been more and more wonderful. I couldn't ask for a better baby. The last half of this year my friends and family have been hit with marriage issues. Some are fighting. Some already quit. Some have reunited. I stand and pray for each of them. This verse came to mind.

Ephesians 6:12
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

My marriage was a wreck from the start. I knew when I married it would be for life. So all I could do was pray and survive. At first I had to live minute by minute with a couple minutes full of happiness. Then I lived day by day, then week by week, and then month by month. The next thing I knew a year had passed without that aweful thought that I was stuck.

It's been almost two years now since I thought I was stuck. I couldn't ask for a better husband. Yes, we have our disagreements, nothing major. And we have our needed discussions, but I am loved. We both firmly believe that God is first, our spouse is second, and our children are next.

It didn't hit me that my husband and I could be an example for others until yesterday when a friend thanked me for being an example. All I did was say that I had to check with my husband first. The little things sometimes can be the makers or breakers of a relationship.

Joseph and I pray with eachother for eachother every day. That definitely starts the day off well. It's hard to be angry or bitter when you're praying for your spouse or hearing the other pray for you. About two years ago Joseph and I went to marriage counceling to deal with a bunch of little things. The most important thing we do other than keep God as our number one is desire to work on our marriage. Our marriage isn't perfect but it's closer to being perfect than it was yesterday : )

Stand and Fight. Marriage is worth it. May God have all the glory and honor.

New Feat

Bubby started crawling today. I hope to have video of it soon : )
