I Passed : )

I only had to wait a little over 24 hours after I finished my test to find out I PASSED : )
I passed. I passed. I passed.

3 hour glucose test

I took my 3 hr Glucose test today at 6:45 am. I was unlucky and had to drink the orange drink instead of the fruit punch drink. It was definitely too sweet. It took my stomach over an hour to settle down after drinking that.

I brought many things to do during my long 3 hr wait. But when I went into the waiting room there was already another mother there for the same thing. We soon started talking and didn't stop except for the short times we were out giving blood. It was a great time. I learned a lot! I'd just like to thank Sarah for our morning chat : ) even though she probably won't ever see this message.

Glucose Testing

I just found out today that my glucose testing came back about 7 points too high. Now I have to go in for the three hour test Thursday morning. My mom told me I shouldn't eat any breads as they can be a cause of high blood sugar. That put me into a depression quick. I was thinking I am pretty good with cutting back on my bread intake and then I remembered that I eat cereal every morning. I guess I'll have to get up a little earlier and make myself an egg or two. But seriously what am I supposed to eat if I can't eat breads or anything with salt? That leaves me with fruits, raw vegetables, and some meats.

Signed,

Depressed and Wining : (

Wrist Pain

I sleep on my back 95% of the time. Now that I'm pregnant, I have been sleeping on my side 95% of the time. With that I've received major pain in my wrists. It started just in my right wrist and the pain was only during night time. Now the pain is in both wrists and I have it throughout much of the morning as well as at night. The last couple of nights I've been sleeping on my back with a pillow under one side of my body so I'm slanted. It's helped a lot. I've even slept more restfully that past couple of nights. I do have a call into my doctor to find out if it's ok if I sleep on my back. So far I'm doing ok and so is baby. I should hear back from my doctor tomorrow. I hope and pray he says it's ok.

ankles

This is not cool. My ankles are as big as the balls of my feet.

bean bags and pregnant women don't mix

The other day I was setting up the VCR to record a show for my husband. The VCR is low to the ground, so I opted to sit on something low too. That way I wouldn't have to bend over which is very uncomfortable. In any case, I finished setting up the VCR and began to get up. Or at least that was my plan. I tried a few times but to no avail. I then thought I was going to be stuck until Joseph came home, which would be about another 3-4 hours. I couldn't handle that. I started rocking and moving in any way I could. I'm sure it was a funny picture : ) Finally after many attempts, I was able to roll over the side of the bean bag. From there it took me about 30 more seconds to get to my feet. Fun stuff, I tell ya.

Hubby finally...

Joseph finally felt the baby kick this morning. I asked him if he felt the baby kick. He wasn't sure. That means he felt it. It wasn't a strong kick. I'm hoping he'll feel a stronger kick soon : ) One that he won't question. We'll see.
