A Year in the Making

Well, I've just begun a new and exciting adventure aside from being a home schooling mommy of three little ones.  I am now an Arbonne Independent Consultant.  "What is Arbonne?" you ask.  As of three months ago, I didn't have a clue what it was either.  Well, let's go back a little further....

About a year ago, I had a four year old, 2 year old, and a six month old.  I was always exhausted.  My stomach was often upset.  I was getting pimples and so much more.  I knew that part of my problems laid in the excess weight I carried.  However, I felt like I was in a catch 22.  In order to lose the weight, I had to stop eating sweets and start working out.  In order to have enough energy just to walk down the street not to mention workout, I needed to lose weight.  It was a vicious circle.

At 197 pounds, I was at a loss until I started reading about a friend's progress in a special "diet" she was doing.  Well, I do NOT do diets!!!  But this wasn't just any diet.  This was a lifestyle change.  The instructions were basically to eat like my OB/GYN had been telling me to eat all throughout my pregnancies which I ignored, because I didn't know how to do it or think it was really possible.  Now I find this book that explains step-by-step what to do and why you should do it.  There was no magical drink/pill that caused you to lose weight.  You just figured out what foods your body was intolerant to and you stayed away from those foods.  Yes, there is a little more to it than that, but that was the big step most are not willing to take.  For me, the pain of being the same was WAY greater than the pain of change.  So I took the plunge.  Within six months, I had lost 50 pounds; within one week, I was feeling like a new person.  I cut out most processed foods, gluten, dairy, soy, corn, white refined sugar and artificial sweeteners and ate eggs more sparingly.  I found new ways to cook my foods that actually ended up tasting better.  My taste buds came alive.  I used to eat just for the sake of eating, but then I began to actually enjoy the taste of what I was eating.  I had no idea vegetables could taste so good.

During that process, I found out that a lot of the lotions, deodorants, perfumes, and such we put on our skin were part of the problem.  So I started looking into homemade options.  I did find a homemade deodorant that I love and will probably stick with, but the other stuff was a bit more time consuming to make.

Well, I wanted a facial and decided that would be a good reward for meeting some of my goals when starting the new "diet".  Then I just happened to stumble on Arbonne.  I booked a facial party for some of my friends and me.  I was sold from the get go.  Arbonne is certified vegan, non gmo, no animal products or by-products, no dyes, no mineral oils, etc.  In other wards, the products are healthy for me to put on my skin and the foods are safe to consume.  It took a little longer for me to decide that I wanted to go to the next step and share Arbonne with others, but I decided I couldn't pass up sharing safe and healthy products with those I meet much more my friends and family.  So here I am now, Catina Ivy - Arbonne Independent Consultant at your service.  Book a spa party, meet with me one-on-one, check out the webpage and order through me, or sign-up and get started on building your business.  The incentives are AMAZING!!!!  Call or text me at 623.396.6339.
